1. CLASSIFIED BY AXIS POSITION
According to the position of the wind turbine shaft, it can be divided into horizontal axis wind turbines and vertical axis wind turbines.
(1) Horizontal axis wind turbine: the wind rotor of the horizontal axis wind turbine rotates around the horizontal axis, and the axis of the wind rotor is parallel to the wind direction. The blades on the rotor are mounted radially, perpendicular to the axis of rotation, at an angle to the plane of rotation of the rotor (called the mounting angle)
The number of wind rotor blades is 1 to 10 (mostly 3.5 pieces), and the utilization rate of wind energy is higher when running at high speed, but the wind speed is higher when starting.
(2) Vertical axis wind turbine: The wind rotor of the vertical axis wind turbine rotates around a vertical axis, and the axis of the wind rotor is perpendicular to the wind direction. Its advantage is that it can accept the wind in any direction, so when the wind direction changes, there is no need to face the wind.
2. CLASSIFIED BY POWER SEGMENT
According to the power of wind turbines, they can be divided into large, medium, small and micro wind turbines. Power less than 1KW is called a micro wind turbine: a power of 1-10KW is called a small wind generator: a power of 10KW to 00KW is called a medium-sized wind generator, power.
Above 00KW is called a large-scale wind turbine, and the larger one is like a megawatt.
In recent years, the application prospect and development potential of wind power technology are very considerable. Horizontal axis wind turbines are very common in our daily life. Compared with the vertical axis generator, it has the advantages of large rotation space, high speed, simple structure and long history of development. Industrialized production has been fully realized, and its efficiency is higher than that of vertical axis wind turbines.
